How do you think the world will end?
Radio 4's today program has an interesting article about it, although it is far less comprehensive than the one in The Sunday Times Magazine a few weeks back. What I liked about the Times one was the fact the top 5 scenarios in their list were all man made technology turning against us! "What does it matter if this particle accelerator ends the universe when we smash these particles together? No one will ever know it was us!" Unless some passing aliens see us about to do this and decide that in the interest of all the other life in the universe Earth should be destroyed! What makes me laugh is that bookies are taking bets on how the world will end! What sort of idiot will ever place a bet on that!!! "Yes, Mr. Bush, you can collect your winnings the day after we have confirmation from the Whitehouse that all life on earth was totally destroyed by Saddam’s secret nuclear program". Oh, the irony.
