The Nokia 5100 includes a sound level meter! Un-calibrated and totally unreliable of course. Imagine what people who love whinging about how noisy things are will be able to do with this... it doesn’t bare thinking about. Disclaimer: “The sound meter in this phone gives approximate values only and should not be used for professional purposes.” Usage: “You can choose between low noise (sounds < 85 dB) and loud noise (sounds > 85 dB).” Presumable this refers to (A) or (C) weighting? Also has some other stupid features: Like the calorie counter and the thermometer. At least the thermometer may be useful for measuring how much it heats up your ear on long calls.
