Visited the Great Western Maze, near Bath, this afternoon. So I’ve finally been to one of the Maize Mazes I’ve been blogging on about. I think it’s actually the same maze (in plan) as the one near Wootton Bassett, that I’ve also been considering going to, so that’s some expense spared. It took us nearly two hours to find our way around, noting the names of the nine cows on route as we went, and finally out again, winning a much needed ice pop at the exit thanks to decoding the anagram of the cows names. I bought the postcard on the way out and only then realized the whole maze was cow shaped. I almost bought this book (hardback includes look inside) by the designer but there was only a battered display copy left… have to look out for that elsewhere now.
