Aside from a few Basic programming experiments in my youth I never really took a huge interest in game design until I read Steven Johnson’s Emergence. Now Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman’s new book, Rules of Play: Game Design Fundamentals seems like it could drag the geek out of me again.
