Happy New Year to our Chinese readers reader. There are a lot of parties going on in across Chinatowns across the world (as well as in China obviously). Unfortunately there isn’t a Chinatown here in Bristol, another thing I miss about Manchester, so at least cook yourself some Chinese food.
On Sunday the Scots will be celebrating Burns night. I just use it as an excuse to eat Haggis, which I love, it's easy to get down south this time of year. There is a very informative section on the associated rituals here as well as some nice recipes.
