New Ani DiFranco album, 'Educated Guess', out now. "On it, Ani not only plays all the instruments and provides the lead and backing vocals, but for the first time in her career she singlehandedly did all the recording and mixing ... recorded on vintage reel-to-reel equipment ... deliberately restricting herself to 8 tracks of audio and happy to incorporate such accidental accompaniment as falling rain and passing trains." Any chance of a review Dash?
Helmut Newton has died. Check out some of his photography at IOnOne, his books at Photogybooks and this little bio at the Directory of Notable Photographers. And some other weird and wonderful places Google has found for me in the process like the High Heel Shoe Museum and unrealated to Newton, but interesting anyway, here's a domintarix's Live Journal (NSFW!)
