Following Grom's Bizarre USB Goodies post yesterday I was thinking about how it's possible to power pretty much anything from USB, and this led me to a startling discovery. If you could make a USB powered laptop would could daisy chain several of them together, finally linking the last in the line back to the first and create an independent self powered laptop cluster. I'm filing a patent quick as this is as big a breakthrough as perpetual motion. Think of the possibilities; cities could be lit up with laptop displays, solar panels could harvest this light so we would have a clean, renewable energy source that isn't variable according to the time of day (like the sun) or the weather (like wind). By connecting enough together all of the worlds energy needs could be met forever. Unless laptops are made out of fossil fuels or something?
