Gig Review: Jeremy Hardy, The Tobacco Factory, Bristol, 12.06.05

Great stand up gig from Jeremy Hardy at the Tobacco Factory, with some very interesting political and philosophical musings thrown in. Much in the same vain and Mark Thomas's live shows but without the militant preaching, more subtle persuasion, and still very funny. My only criticism would be that it seemed to lack structure, as it didn't build on a theme or reach any sort on conclusion, say the way Rob Newman builds up his political comedy. Hardy also recycled some material from his Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation series from Radio 4, but this was still funny and very well performed. Highly recommended.
