Working at a school means I'm often home from work whilst kids TV is still on. Not note worthy realy but I've just see an ad for a Saturday morning program with an item that is a stroke of geinus, and I'd like to see it made into a full program:
Eminemmerdale.

I'm off now to register a paitent for a wireless car-wash emergency stop button.

Hmm, I'm still not convinced with the maze thing Popcorn.

SplashPad - sounds like a load of Flux Capacitors to me.

TODAY'S NEWS THROUGH THE GUSSET FILTER:

A Shropshire couple have a very clean car after they were trapped in a car wash. "The only button to stop the car wash is outside which is absolutely ludicrous." Presumably you'd like the garage to fit an Emergency Stop button inside your car then?

I was amused by the Radio 4 headlines last night when they presented the story of Price Williams trip to Wales and his swilling back of Cherry Brandy. Imagine very proper BBC English speaker; "The Prince was requested to drink more of the liquor for the sake of the cameras and accused the photographers of trying to get him drunk, or "pissed" in his words." I almost pissed myself when I heard it. The story seems to fill the gutter press this morning; The Telegraph and The Mirror both printing that shocking language, although The Sun and others have resulted to asterisks! I know The Sun aims to write for a reading age of 11 (and frequently clocks in under 9) but does it really think anyone who reads it is going to be upset by that? BBC News also avoid printing it.

I heard about this a while ago, but hadn't realised they were so close to production. SplashPad will wirelessly charge batteries in laptops, mobiles, pdas, etc.

Now to me (bear in mind I went to about 8 electronics lectures in two years), having a large pad sat on your desk creating quite strong electromagnetic fields is a sure way of screwing up the credit cards in your pocket.
Maybe it's got something to do with the higher frequency, or something.

Didn't know about GeCAD being best AV for linux, the only good thing about this is that it might make M$ a bit more concerned with writing code that's not so easy to exploit.
Not that it'll make me trust them any more.

I had a look again at the maze (whilst in a slighty less odd mood) and the pierced nipple dosn't leap out, but I was prepared for this!
I knocked this up (badly) when I could still see it

M$ buy Anti Virus company to improve windows security. Sounds like a good move? Maybe not, they've bought the company that provides what is regarded as the best AV for Linux. Do I smell an ulterior motive here? I wouldn't imagine for a second that the Linux product may suddenly and mysterious disappear of course...

Someone in the office was searching for rehearsal space for his band this morning and came across Woodside Studios. Check out the accommodation offered at this place - Elvis has not left the caravan!

I'm tempted by the Chili shirt.

I don't think it's the "place that broke the record last year" as I don't think it was there last year. I'll do some more research. Exactly what was the record anyway? I also struggled to see the monkey btw, but I didn't see a pierced nipple... and still don't.

I'm afraid to say that the guy on the left is living proof that there is someone as freaky looking as the guy on the left.

There was an article on /. today about making a gallon of icecream in 30 seconds, by pouring liquid nitrogen into the mixture. Now to me this would seem like a leathal way of making very shit icecream, but no it's edable and nice.

Random quote from article:
"Oliver Sacks was coming to visit with my collection of chemical elements"

The bloke is a noble prize winning chemist and the elements being talked about are in his periodic table table.
Random quote from article:
"Not that there's anything wrong with Boron mind you, it's just no Xenon if you know what I mean"

Bought some new teeshirts today from ThinkGeek. I think I'm going to wear this one* next non-uniform day.

Is that maze place the same one that broke the record last year? The BBC needed to turn that picture so you could see the monkey better, the only thing I could see in it at first was a peirced nipple, but it has been a long day.

*Have a look at the photo's in the bottom corner, specificaly "My Aphex twin", I thought it had been messed with but the closer I looked the more real it looked. Please tell me that there's no-one as freaky looking as the guy on the left.

Tickets for Eddie Izzard's UK tour this December went on sale today. Just got mine through the official site which was down due to high traffic all morning. (Apparently there is a special allocation of good seats for the registered members who were supposed to get an email before 10 this morning with booking details (still hasn't arrived). It transpires that this was only for selected venues and I would have been better off not waiting for the official site to come back up. Bit of a farce really. Oh well, at least I've got them now.

Grow your own crop circle competition. Now, can I get a pair of Y-fronts into the design? (Note the Beeb don't know the difference between a PDF and a PDA)
