A bunch of videos of some white middle class teenager freestyle rapping.
Quite badly it has to be said, usually stumbling after 20 secs or so. The execption is Crispy New Freestyle (at the top of the page) at 4:07 with bearly a stutter. It is not only a window in this kids mind but shows that mind to have quite alot of issues that probably need working through with a child phycologist.
Also it contains the classic lyric "I want a golden moose."

Bet Eminem is kacking it.

My God, when I look at it closely I can tell that the boys have hardly any hair on their bodies and from some angles it looks like Jackson is laughing. Sick!

When it was just a pencil sketch, I still had a kernel of doubt about his guilt but, once I had started colouring it in, it was obvious he had committed several gross acts upon these terrified, sexy boys. Sickening!

I've just spent the morning drawing a picture of Michael Jackson with a couple of boys. It was sickening to look at, he should hang for what he did.

At his meeting with Queen Elizabeth last night, George W. Bush turned to
the Queen and said: "As I'm the President, I'm thinking of changing how my
great country is referred to, and I'm thinking that it should be a
Kingdom." The Queen replies "I'm sorry Mr Bush, but to be a Kingdom, you
have to have a King in charge - and you're not a King."

George Bush thought a while and then said: "How about a Principality then?"
To which the Queen replied "Again, to be a Principality you have to be a
Prince - and you're not a Prince, Mr Bush."

George thought long and hard and came up with "How about an Empire then?"
The Queen, getting a little annoyed by now, replies "Sorry again, Mr Bush,
but to be an Empire you must have an Emperor in charge - and you are not an
Emperor."

Before George W could utter another word, The Queen said: "I think you're
doing quite nicely as a Country."

A few years back Star Wars: Episode 4: A New Hope: Special Edition became the first ever film to be release with three colons in its title. At least two colons now seems to have become the standard number for new movie releases. The most recent example I can think of if Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle of Life and I’ve just come across The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: Special Extended DVD Edition: Gift Set.
Coming soon: M:I-3: Mission: Impossible 3: What?: Only Twenty-Four (24) Colons(:)?: What do you think this is?: Star Wars: Episode 4: A New Hope: Special Edition: This is Fucking Mission: Impossible 3 (M:I-3) Mate: Special Edition: Extended: Directors Cut: Gift Box Set: Thing: Not fucking Star Wars: Episode 4: A New Hope: Special Edition: What were you thinking?

Hmm, am I a sad Sci-Fi geek? I was just drawn to click on a banner ad for the new Battlestar Galactica remake. Not holding out much hope the program will be any good but look at this...
<br />Tricia Helfer as Number Six
(Should have been a brunet though. Or maybe a red head?)
At least I restrained myself from making a joke about coming across the ad. Damn it.

Gig Review: Bogdan Raczynski, Astrobotnia & DJ Rephlex Records @ The Thekla, Bristol, 13.11.03 just after tea.

Astrobotnia (Live)

For me, the whole gig peaked a bit early when Astrobotnia opened the show. It was late, people were tired and I overheard one chap tell an indifferent stranger that he might go home early. The pre-gig disco was already a huge success and so Astroboy was up against it. But cometh the hour, cometh the man and the lad didn’t disappoint.

I positioned myself in front of a huge speaker which was a big mistake given the sounds this boy was making. The sensation was how I’d always imagined it would feel if you could put your head inside a bee’s mouth. Extraordinary!

Mid-way, we suffered a short power-cut which only served to make Astrobotnia madder. The man, visibly upset at the interruption, vented his frustration on his laptop and appeared to try and hump the bloody thing to keep it under control. It was like watching an over-enthusiastic pinball player who doesn’t give a fuck that he’s about to trigger the ‘tilt’ alarm and receive a mild telling-off.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this and at one point I actually turned to Dan and said “I’m really enjoying this!”

DJ Rephlex Records

Ugly rumours suggested that this was going to be either Mr. Richard D. James, David Blunkett and even Amanda Holden was mentioned. Turned out to be Grant Wilson-Claridge who provided a DJ set that was proficient but unremarkable.

Saying that though, the crowd responded well. Being of some considerable standing in the community, I didn’t join the dance but watched as one girl turned herself into a fully functioning photocopier/printer right in front of me. I think she may have taken a drug.

Enjoyable enough and well-received but no-one was ever going to hurt themselves.

Bogdan Raczynski (Live)

I’m not sure when GW-C became Bogdan as they seemed to blend into each other but what followed was quite an assault on the senses.

Angry, loud and possibly illegal, this set could not have been more visceral if Bogdan had arrived on a horse and gutted the thing live on stage. I suffered a series of delightful strokes and one young man lost an arm and his lips. Marvellous stuff.

In summary, Astrobotnia did the business, DJ Rephlex records did an ample job, Bogdan was just plain upsetting and that night I cried myself to sleep.

I love this little gif ani from Mu board poster Hardoff, not sure if it's his work or not.

Bluesy the Squirrel

Check out his site here.
Have a look at his junk project; he collected donated shit tracks from people on various music message boards who were too embarrassed to call them their own and released them all under his own name.

Gig Review: Bogdan Raczynski, Astrobotnia and DJ Rephlex Records @ The Thekla, Bristol, 13.11.03

Astrobotnia (Live)

This was a fantastically atmospheric live set from Astrobotnia. Having never heard any of his material under this moniker before, and only a small sample of his Ovuca material, Aleksi Perälä was a not just a pleasant surprise but more of a stunning one. The layered atmospheres and synth melodies, if played on their own, would be the stuff of film score, all supported by deceptively complex drum programming, making people dance without ever sounding stale or over engineered. The live set I imagine must sound more like the material from Part 2 of last years three part release on Rephlex, being the more club orientated material according to Pitchfork, but after hearing this I sure all three releases will be worth checking out.

Despite losing power in the middle of the set all was back up a running quickly and buy powering straight into one of the most aggressive sounding pieces through the audience back in where they were rudely cut off before, not giving anyone anytime to worry about getting back into it.

DJ Rephlex Records

Grant Wilson-Claridge provided the tunes for the DJ Rephlex Records set despite persistent rumours that Richard D. James would be filling the role. Unlike RDJ, Grant DJ’s with traditional vinyl and perhaps plays more dance floor friendly tunes. Plenty of killer drum’n’bass and ragga tracks were dropped, although I found myself longing for something more intricate or perhaps even more noisy. Reports from other dates on the tour, such as London, where RDJ did DJ, say that Venetian Snares and Remarc got pretty heavy rotation which is the sort of thing I would have liked to hear, but maybe that would actually distract from the live acts a little too much?

Bogdan Raczynski (Live)

Gliding almost seamlessly from Grant’s DJ set into the first stuttering beats (seamlessly stuttering; oxymoron?) of his live set Bogdan leant over his laptop with a menace matched only by the sonic assault that follows. Grinding his teeth and clenching his fists as he attacks the 21st centauries true musical instrument the beats were flying around like shrapnel. No-one was really sure where they the next re-triggered roll was going to explode next, ducking for cover and dancing around like they’re on hot coals. A fantastic start to a set that flowed very nicely indeed, moving between tracks underpinned by plonking toy-keyboard melodies to rhythms that could rip your head off and towards the end of the set both of those at once. Fantastic stuff, another act in need of further investigation and this album has to be worth buying for the cover alone...
