Gusset gig news! Gusset will be fiddling with their laptop at two gigs in Bristol over the next couple of months. On Wednesday 17th March we will be providing Gusset support to Donna Summer and OVe-NaNx at the Cooler on Park St and on Saturday 17th April we will be making squelching noises in room two at Toxic Dancehall IV at the Black Swan in Easton. More information (flyers, prices, line ups etc) will be posted here as we get them. Come along or we'll be forced to do something nasty to your family.

Thousands rush to order iPod mini "Apple says it has had more than 100,000 pre-orders for its newest digital music player, the iPod mini." $249 at the current exchange rate is only about 130 to 140 quid. Nice. And now Alpine are building an iPod ready car head unit (hopefully will be cheaper than their car hard disk/MP3 system)
Disney buys the Muppets Shame, I've never been a Disney fan but I've always been a Muppets fan. This presents a real ethical dilemma for me.

*What's the second A? The rest of them are obviously BBC, Reebok, Adidas, Nike, Dunlop, Warner Bros, ?, Sony, Honda, Esso and Disney. It's annoying me!

Bafta awards 2004: The winners (As usual, the highlight of the evening was Stephen Fry's presentation. Genius)
AWOL: Alcohol without Liquid How would you fancy inhaling oxygenated vodka vapour? You could try it at Liz Lewitt's Il Bordello in Bristol. She was interviewed on Sky News last night, preaching the benefits of inhaling alcohol directly into your lungs for a smoother, slower, getting pissed experience with no hangover, whilst a couple of Yates's slappers sat around giggling. Not sure if it's a good idea myself. The Sun claims it could lead to brain damage, but then, so can reading The Sun so I wouldn't take too much notice of that.
[Aside: Lewitt could be called the queen of Bristol's luvies, never out of Venue magazine or the Evening Post, running the exclusive members only media bar Il Bordello (from the Spanish for Whore House), hosting poetry evenings and the like. A far cry from her days as a rubber wear designer, owner of Religion and promoter of Spank. (I was chatting to a girl called Michelle awhile ago who told me that she used to be a rubber wear model for Loco and that Lewitt used to come into their shop and steal all of their designs. I have no idea whether this is true.) It's interesting that someone so prominent in the media scene has a background like that, but it can only be a good thing as far as my dream of living in a city where everywhere you turn you see curvy women in rubber cat suits is concerned.]
