Went to see Mark Thomas at the Hen & Chicken in Bedminster last night. I love the comedy nights there, there's always such a great atmosphere. Great show from Thomas, despite it being an unfinished draft of the material (which he hopes will be on Broadway be the end of the year.) The second half flagged a little but was well worth it over all. He is planning to take on Coca-Cola this year, for various reasons, their friendly ness with the Nazis not least of them. Find out more on this mini-site.

Still haven't got your mum something for Mother’s Day? [tomorrow] Why not get her a Birthstone Barbie? (I am joking. I bought my mum a plant pot. Exciting, eh?) I like the fact they're mostly brunets and kind of goth like, much better looking if you ask me.

I passed a jeep on the M4 this morning with an ad on the spare tyre on the back for Dead Heat by Caroline Carver. Needless to say a quick look at her website confirms it was actually her driving it. But it was not the same jeep she has driven all over the world in according to her adventures page. Hmm. Maybe I should advertise Gusset gigs on the roof of my Mini? Or paint a huge pair on pants on the roof and put the url on the doors?

Some stuff about zoom lenses which will probably be boring to anyone but me: Photography Tips: Lens Selection Fundamental Optics of Television Camera Lenses (very dry technical paper by someone at Canon) How Stuff Works didn't have the detailed information I was looking for but did have this fact for the day: "Killer whales (orcas) will occasionally eat swimming moose or deer that are trying to get from one island to another." Oh yes! There is a comedy casting God! Have a look at Hollywood's latest dumb idea.
And here's an interesting one.
Here is some speculation about what might appear on The Return of The King - Extended Cut DVD.
And not one of my posts would be complete without reference to the approaching Star Wars DVD's, which lets face it are probably going to be as big a disappointment as The Phantom Menace.
