Just to announce that Dave's Music Pages are up and running at last. This is planned to be a music collaboration web site, so PLEASE pay me a visit and get involved in writing the rules and setting up the system! The whole idea is 'open source' collaboration and Once I get the uploading bit working we can start writing as soon as possible! Everybody is welcome...
I desperately need suggestions for a name, so come on in and throw some ideas at me! Cheers,

A9.com. Fancy new search system from Amazon that simultaneously shows you Google search results along with useful Amazon style reviews, "People who visited this page also visited" links and so on. So if Amazon already know your address and credit card details and you'd also like them to know everything you search for give it a go.
Rhythm Dress? Designer Alyce Santoro has made a dress (and other things) out of a fabric made from woven magnetic tape. Special tape head gloves can be used to play it. I‘m looking for a new record bag; I wonder how much that would cost?

The mother of all subwoofers. What an absolutely amazing idea! You could seriously damage people if you ever used that to its full potential. (Acoustic geek mode: strictly speaking, that's a folded W-bin, not a horn)

Test system: I've been playing with Server Side Includes to make our menu system easier to maintain. I've created a few test pages that you can see here:
:: bio | gigs | music | friends | reviews ::
I'd really appreciate it if some people could test the links in the menus at the top of these pages and drop a comment below to say whether they work or not on their system, and if they don't please say what browser and OS you are using. Thanks.

Gusset's new self-released CDr "Skidmark" is now available from dSWAT. It is summarised on the site as follows: "Bristol based electronic duo Gusset bring us another self-released cdr of freakish delights. Featured within are 11 tracks of a joyful, strange and sometimes disturbing nature. There is the occasional flashback to Gusset's earlier days of indie rock, but the peak comes on 'Simon's got a bad ass' when classic hip-hop sample (can't remember name of tune) is chopped up with some warped noise wobble. Not to mention "99 high ho's don't make it right', with it's bangra-disco-gabba infusions. Also contains 13 minute bonus mix." If that doesn't make you want to buy it then at least it saves me having to burn more copies, but I do want to spend my weekends burning CDs, really, I do.

I bought the wife a Kinder Surprise when I was in the garage the other day (I'm romantic like that) and found they now come with yet another surprise, the Internet Surprise! (No, it's not a porn link, that would be too obvious.) So now they can dub TV ads with obnoxious little shits insisting that their mother should return from shopping with some chocolate, a toy, a surprise and an internet surprise. I'd rather gouge my eyes out with the plastic egg cup thing. I got bored before I even got to the internet surprise so you can have it, go to magic-kinder.com and claim it; the "magicode" is Q0G1M AU2L0.

We had a great gig at Toxic Dancehall last night. Probably the largest crowd we've played to yet. And they (mostly) seemed to be into it. The set was recorded so should eventually be available for download, probably from toxicdancehall.com. Watch this space for news and photos.
